This summer is absolutely packed to the gills with blockbusters. We have comic book movies, tentpoles comedies, huge action flicks and many, many more that we have barely scene a frame from. Now we’re bringing you a trailer for a film that won’t be out until December.

First Poster for THE HANGOVER: PART II

the-hangover-part-2-movie-poster-slice-01

Warner Bros. has sent us the teaser poster for The Hangover: Part II.  When I went to go seeSucker Punch last week, they showed the teaser trailer and the audience ate it up.  People are ready for more shenanigans and as we all know, shenanigans are made funnier by the presence of a monkey that’s dressed like a person.

DIARY OF A WIMPY KID: RODRICK RULES Trailer

Check out the awesome online-only trailer for DIARY OF A WIMPY KID: RODRICK RULES. The sequel to Diary of a Wimpy Kid, “Rodrick Rules” brings back all the characters, fun, and wimpiness! Greg and Rodrick must work together, despite their brotherly differences. Rowley, Fregley, Patty, Chirag, and Manny are all back, too. Based on the best-selling book series by Jeff Kinney. (ITS ONE OF MY FAVORITE BOOKS SERIES!)

Synopsis:

Welcome to the Next Grade!
In this sequel to 2010′s surprise hit, Greg Heffley, the kid who made “wimpy” cool is back in an all-new family comedy based on the best-selling follow-up novel by Jeff Kinney. (Kinney’s Wimpy Kid” series has thus far sold 42 million books.) As he begins seventh grade, Greg and his older brother — and chief tormentor — Rodrick must deal with their parents’ misguided attempts to have them bond.

First Teaser Poster for X-MEN: FIRST CLASS

x-men-first-class-teaser-poster-cast-slice

We’ve been awaiting our first look at X-Men: First Class, and 20th Century Fox has delivered over the past couple days with a flurry of images.  The first (and very photoshopped) cast image left some underwhelmed.

To cap things off (or could there be more?), Fox has released a teaser poster for the superhero film starring Michael Fassbender as Magneto, Rose Byrne as Dr. Moira MacTaggert, January Jones as Emma Frost, Jason Flemyng as Azazel, Nicholas Hoult as Beast, Lucas Till as Havoc, Zoe Kravitz as Angel Salvadore, Jennifer Lawrence as Mystique, and James McAvoy as Professor X.   Check it out after the jump.

The design is very basic, to the point that I’m surprised we didn’t see this before the stills.  It’s sharp, though.  I like it.

X-Men: First Class opens on June 3.

Exclusive 3 Backyards Trailer and Poster

3 Backyards is the story of three residents of the same suburban town over the course of one perfect, glittering Autumn day. Mixing the mundane with the mythic, the film peers into the interior lives of its characters as they embark on seemingly tiny journeys that actually take them vast distances from the familiar.

A businessman (Elias Koteas) with marital troubles gets ‘lost’ on a business trip without ever leaving town. A little girl (Rachel Resheff) steals her mother’s jewelry in the morning and finds herself faced with frightening, adult decisions by late afternoon. A well-meaning housewife (Edie Falco) offers her celebrity neighbor (Embeth Davidtz) a lift and the trip detours into unsettling territory. Seen through a prism of shifting light and shimmering leaves, the familiar geography of the suburban landscape dissolves by day’s end into a dreamscape where identity can be fractured, destroyed or ultimately reclaimed.

New Poster and Banner for SUCKER PUNCH

Warner Bros. has debuted a new poster for the film.  As expected, it shows off girls, guns, and explosions.  I think I’m pretty well prepared, although I’m not sure why the poster is so green when the movie doesn’t (to the best of my knowledge) involve a hornet, lantern, or sewer mutant.

Sucker Punch stars Emily Browning, Abbie Cornish, Vanessa Hudgens, Jane Malone, Jamie Chung, Carla Gugino, and Jon Hamm.  It opens March 25th.

Here’s the official synopsis for Sucker Punch:

Close your eyes. Open your mind. You will be unprepared. “Sucker Punch” is an epic action fantasy that takes us into the vivid imagination of a young girl whose dream world provides the ultimate escape from her darker reality. Unrestrained by the boundaries of time and place, she is free to go where her mind takes her, and her incredible adventures blur the lines between what’s real and what is imaginary. She has been locked away against her will, but Babydoll (Emily Browning) has not lost her will to survive. Determined to fight for her freedom, she urges four other young girls–the outspoken Rocket (Jena Malone), the street-smart Blondie (Vanessa Hudgens), the fiercely loyal Amber (Jamie Chung) and the reluctant Sweet Pea (Abbie Cornish)–to band together and try to escape their terrible fate at the hands of their captors, Blue (Oscar Isaac), Madam Gorski (Carla Gugino) and the High Roller (Jon Hamm). Led by Babydoll, the girls engage in fantastical warfare against everything from samurais to serpents, with a virtual arsenal at their disposal. Together, they must decide what they are willing to sacrifice in order to stay alive. But with the help of a Wise Man (Scott Glenn), their unbelievable journey–if they succeed–will set them free.
